The term finger chilli refers to many slim, finger-length varieties grown around the world. They are the classic chillies you’ll see in oriental stir-fries, or the green chillies used in traditional Jalfrezi curries. Varieties include Thai Dragon, Green Finger, Thai Finger, Super Chilli, and more.
These chillies are hot and versatile, with an average heat range of 40,000–60,000 Scoville. Because they are small and contain little water, they are also perfect for drying and can be used whole or ground with a pestle and mortar. Whether cooking fresh or preserving for later, finger chillies add authentic heat and flavour across a wide range of cuisines.
