Fresh Dorset Naga Chillies
🔥 The Legendary British Superhot – Freshly Harvested and Packed with Power 🔥
Once crowned the hottest chilli in the world, the Dorset Naga remains one of the most exceptional and sought-after superhots ever grown. Developed in Dorset by Michael and Joy Michaud of Sea Spring Seeds, this fiery beauty began life as a Bangladeshi Naga Morich, carefully stabilized over several seasons until it became a distinct, uniform, and stable variety — so unique it earned official Plant Breeders’ Rights status.
And it’s not just hot — it’s extraordinarily hot. Originally tested at over 900,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) in 2006, the Dorset Naga now averages a staggering 1.3 million SHU, with individual pods recorded as high as 1.6 million SHU on BBC Gardeners’ World.
Yet, for all that fire, it’s the flavour that sets it apart. Deeply floral, fruity, and aromatic, it brings a complexity that serious chilli lovers crave. Traditionally used both green and fully ripe red, the Dorset Naga adds an unmistakable punch to curries, sauces, pickles, and jams — and even a little goes a very long way.
Our pods are freshly picked and packed for maximum flavour and heat. We’ll be harvesting for only the next three to four weeks, so don’t wait — this is your once-a-year opportunity to enjoy one of the world’s finest superhot chillies at its absolute peak.
Available now:
-

💡 Preserve the harvest: these chillies freeze beautifully and can also be dried, pickled, or cooked down into your own hot sauce or chilli jam. We recommend ordering more than you think you’ll need — they won’t be back until next season.
Experience the chilli that started Britain’s love affair with superhots — the one and only Dorset Naga.
