500 grams of frozen, pure, minced Naga chillies. These chillies are grown right here onsite at Edible Ornamentals and they are picked, washed, de-stemmed, minced into a purée and frozen in 500 gram containers. This is done within 24 hours of picking to ensure we capture the freshest product and maximum flavour and heat. These will be shipped in a special insulated package using our next day delivery service.
Naga chillies are native to India, Bangladesh, and Burma and there are actually several different subspecies including Bhut Jolokia (also known as Ghost Chilli), Dorset Naga, Naga Jolokia, Naga Morich, and many others. They are some of the hottest chillies in the world with Scoville ratings of 1 million and more. They are revered in Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine and have a distinctively fragrant flavour and aroma. They are widely used both at their green colour as well as red.
