Moruga Scorpion, approximately 20 Scorpion seeds. The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion (Capsicum chinense) is a chilli pepper native to an area close to the village of Moruga in Trinidad and Tobago. It is one of the hottest chillies in the world. Many would say its also the sweetest and most tasty. In 2012, New Mexico State University’s Chile Pepper Institute conducted a scientific study several varieties of super-hot chinense’s and identified this particular variety of Scorpion chilli from Trinidad as the hottest on the planet at that time with Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) rating of 1.2 million. A fantastic and beautiful specimen in the garden this hot pepper can be chopped up fresh on pasta, cooked in West Indian curries or transformed into a delicious hot sauce that can be used on anything.
